Now I want to chat about Kombucha. That is obviously utterly unrelated to those Banana Oatmeal Cookies, however I know you won't obey.

Let me begin by saying that my husband drinks apple cider vinegar mixed with water daily to reduce inflammation or something like this.

He claims it's magical. I claim it's nasty.

While I understand this is going to seem dramatic (cause it is), I literally dry heave in the sight and smell of the morning ritual on a daily basis. He loves that about me.

Based on this response, an individual would think that I would stay far away from Kombucha, directly? I mean, after all, it definitely comes with a vinegary tang.

However, for any reason, I continue trying it. I Wish to enjoy it SO DANG BAD.

All these Banana Oatmeal Cookies are very simple to make and full of banana flavor.

I'm really a marketer's fantasy because every single time I see someone I know loving a sip, or touting their favorite brand and flavor with a boomerang on Instagram, I am all,"Maybe that one will actually taste acceptable!" .

Just imagine me using air quotes around the term appreciating because I think it is tough to think this stuff is really enjoyable in any sense of the word.

And spoiler alert. Not one of them taste good. None.

Even those that people claim are mild are a major no-go for me. They taste like freaking sweet vinegar.

I'm basically sure that anybody who drinks this brewed tea stuff includes zero taste buds, or severely funky ones.

I have literally tried each and every brand that my neighborhood market conveys and I HATED, not disliked, HATED every single one.

Yes, I know hate is a really strong term, but there's really no other way to describe my feelings towards kombucha. And I only had to tell y’all of my true feelings about this one. Who's with me?

Believe me, I want to enjoy the stuff cause it seemingly has a ton of health benefits, but I'll be the woman regretting a La Croix and booking vinegary flavors for salad dressing. Thank you very much!

Out of no bake biscuits and effortless sugar cookies to those banana oatmeal cookies, it has been a love affair that has gone on here in MBA for almost a decade now.

While I am not claiming these banana oatmeal cookies will be the least healthful (because hello sugar and butter), I am claiming they are delicious.

They have the ideal quantity of banana taste and a beautiful chewy texture because of the oats. The chocolate chips are merely an added bonus.

I enjoy these cookies a little about the left handed side, so that I inhale them for 9 or 10 minutes. If you prefer them to be cooked through, I'd take for 10-11 minutes.

I'll say that the oats almost makes them look like a breakfast cookie, therefore they're all kinds of amazing using a cup of tea or coffee first thing in the afternoon.

YIELD: about 30 cookies PREP TIME: 10 minnutes COOK TIME: 10 minutes



1/2 cup unsalted butterat room temperature

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 large egg

1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup pops flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

3 1/4 cup old fashioned oats


In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a large bowl using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar till light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Scrape the sides of the bowl and then blend in the egg until fully incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl and add in the skillet and vanilla.

Gradually add the bread mixture to the banana mixture and mix until just combined.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and stir to recombine.

Stir in the oats and chocolate chips and blend until incorporated.

Use a medium cookie scoop (about 1.5 tablespoons) to scoop the dough onto prepared cookie sheets leaving about two inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and then lightly press the tops of each cookie with the bottom of a drinking glass. Since these cookies don't spread considerably, this can give them a traditional cookie shape.

Permit the banana oatmeal cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
